CHOLPON-ATA, Kyrgyzstan: Pakistan and Tajikistan have expressed a shared commitment to expand their cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, energy, and cultural exchanges. This was announced as Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar and Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting in Kyrgyzstan.
According to Radio Pakistan, both sides highlighted the importance of maintaining high-level engagements to enhance their bilateral partnership. The meeting underscored the longstanding ties between the two nations and emphasized collaborative efforts at multilateral forums to promote peace and stability. Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country’s support for Pakistan’s initiatives aimed at fostering regional peace and resolving issues through peaceful means. The dialogue also touched upon regional and global developments, with both leaders agreeing on the necessity of joint efforts to achieve regional prosperity.
