NTDC Commemorates 77th Independence Day with Nationwide Flag Hoisting Ceremonies

Lahore: The National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) marked Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with flag hoisting ceremonies at its grid stations nationwide, including a main event at the TSG Training Centre in New Kot Lakhpat Lahore. The ceremonies featured a march-past, national songs, and speeches, reflecting a deep national pride.

According to National Transmission and Despatch Company, the event in Lahore was distinguished by the presence of Deputy Managing Director (AD and M) Engr. Rasheed A. Bhutto and Deputy Managing Director (SO) Engr. Muhammad Waseem Younas, along with several general managers. They led the flag hoisting, followed by a march-past and salutes from the NTDC Security Directorate. Engr. Rasheed A. Bhutto, addressing the gathering, paid homage to the sacrifices that led to Pakistan’s independence and urged renewed dedication to the nation’s development, echoing the aspirations of Pakistan’s founding father.

General Manager (Technical) Engr. Dr. Khwaja Riffat Hassan also spoke at the ceremony, calling on the youth to embrace their responsibilities towards nation-building, guided by the principles set forth by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

The celebration was further enriched by performances from children of NTDC employees, who presented national songs and speeches. Notably, a tree planting ceremony by the chief guest symbolized a commitment to sustainable development. Among the attendees were General Manager TSG Engr. Ashar Ali, General Manager Media and PR Muhammad Ibrahim, Chief Information Officer Khalid Mehmood, and various other dignitaries and staff members.
