Rajanpur: In a significant police operation, notorious criminal Javed alias Javidi Chandiya, wanted for various high-profile criminal activities, was killed during an exchange of fire with the Punjab Police in Rajanpur. The operation took place in the area of Rustom Laghari, within the jurisdiction of the Saddar Jampur police station.
According to Punjab Police, the operation was based on secret intelligence information that led to the raid intended to apprehend Javed and his accomplices. The confrontation escalated into a firefight, during which Javed, who was also responsible for the death of a police officer last month, was fatally shot. The police recovered an illegal Kalashnikov from the deceased. Efforts are ongoing to capture the remaining accomplices who fled the scene. District Police Officer Rajanpur, Captain (Retired) Dost Muhammad, assured that the pursuit of these criminals will continue until all are apprehended and brought to justice.
