Srinagar: A non-local woman lost her life, and her husband sustained severe injuries in a fire incident in the Bandipora district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the fire erupted in a room at the Beacon Headquarters in the Sonawari area. The couple, from Uttar Pradesh, were severely burned in the incident. They were promptly taken to the Bandipora district hospital, where 30-year-old Anjani Devi was declared dead. Her husband, Parmanand, remains in critical condition. The fire was brought under control with the assistance of fire tenders, and the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
In a separate incident, a fire broke out in a hospital building in the Poonch district. Officials reported that the fire started in one of the rooms of the old building and quickly spread to other blocks. Fire tenders arrived on the scene and are working to extinguish the flames.
