No scheduled load shedding being done in country, NA informed

Islamabad, August 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):The National Assembly was informed that the government is making all out efforts to meet electricity demand, which is evident from the fact that 24,303 megawatt power generation was recorded today (Monday). Minister of Power Division Hammad Azhar informed the House during the Question Hour this evening that no scheduled load-shedding is being carried out in the country. He said that installed generation capacity is sufficient to meet the demand.

Minister of Science and Technology Syed Shibli Faraz informed the House that Ministries of Science and Technology and National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote local manufacturing of medical devices. Responding to another question, the minister said that the government is taking effective measures to provide clean drinking water to the masses.
