Islamabad, The National Logistics Corporation (NLC) has achieved a significant milestone in enhancing regional trade by successfully delivering consignments to China and Central Asia. This initiative is part of Pakistan’s broader strategy to improve trade ties and economic cooperation within the region.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, NLC’s recent accomplishments include the transportation of six tonnes of cherries to China, with another shipment from Gilgit-Baltistan scheduled for next week. These efforts follow the successful implementation of the TIR system last year, which saw NLC trucks carrying medicinal products to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Additionally, in April this year, a consignment of potatoes was transported from Okara and Rahim Yar Khan to Dushanbe, Tajikistan, in just seven days, demonstrating the effectiveness of NLC’s logistical capabilities.

These developments are part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to leverage its geographic position to foster regional connectivity and economic integration.
