Nineteen Militants Killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa During Security Operations


Peshawar: Security forces in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province conducted a series of intelligence-based operations on January 6-7, resulting in the deaths of 19 militants identified as Khwarij, Inter Services Public Relations. These operations, which took place in Matani, Baizai, and Karak districts, were aimed at dismantling militant presence in the region.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the first operation occurred in the Matani area of Peshawar District, where eight militants were killed following an engagement with security forces. A similar operation in the Baizai area of Mohmand District led to the neutralization of another eight militants. In the final engagement in Karak District, security forces effectively engaged the militants, resulting in three additional casualties.



The operations also saw the loss of three soldiers, Lance Havaldar Abbas Ali, Naik Muhammad Nazir, and Naik Muhammad Usman, who died in the line of duty. Security forces are currently conducting sanitization efforts to ensure the complete eradication of militant elements in the area, as part of a broader effort to combat terrorism in Pakistan.
