Islamabad, December 19, 2022 (PPI-OT):Islamabad capital police apprehended nine criminals from different areas and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, a Aabpara police arrested an accused namely Amir and recovered 30 liters liquor from his possession. Bhara Kahu police team arrested two accused namely Abdul Qayyum and Zain Maqsood involved in drug peddling and recovered 1140 gram heroin and 30 liters liquor from their possession.
Similarly, the Golra police arrested two accused namely Muhammad Javed and Saif Ullah and recovered 512 gram heroin and 530 gram hashish from their possession. Tarnol police arrested an accused namely Muhammad Ilyas and recovered 530 gram heroin from his possession.
Moreover, the Sabzi Mandi police arrested an accused namely Akhtar Gul and Wali-Ullah and recovered two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession. During the crackdown against proclaimed offenders police teams arrested one absconder. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
