ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to combat criminal activity, Islamabad Police have apprehended nine individuals linked to various offenses, recovering significant quantities of drugs and weapons in the process. The arrests, made by teams from the Tarnol, Humak, and Aabpara police stations, resulted in the seizure of 838 grams of heroin and a pistol with ammunition.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against those detained, with investigations currently ongoing. Furthermore, a targeted campaign aimed at capturing proclaimed offenders and absconders led to the arrest of an additional five criminals.
This operation is part of a broader strategy implemented under the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to reinforce security and maintain public order in the capital. The Islamabad Police’s commitment to safeguarding residents’ lives and property remains a top priority, with a clear message that any disruption to public peace will not be tolerated.
The public is encouraged to participate in these efforts by reporting any suspicious behavior to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.” This collaboration between law enforcement and the community is viewed as essential in the ongoing battle against crime.
