NIA court grants more time to agency for probe, extends custody of Khurram Parvez, two others 

New Delhi, March 25, 2022 (PPI-OT):A dreaded India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) Delhi court allowed the agency more time to complete its investigation in a fake case against human rights activist Khurram Parvez and two others. The special NIA judge, Praveen Singh also extended the custody of Khurrum Parvez, Muneer Ahmad Kataria and Arshid Ahmad Tonch by 50 days, claiming chances of tampering with evidence cannot be ruled out.

“I find that as investigation is in progress, the chances of tampering with evidence cannot be ruled out,” the judge claimed. He added that it was a “fit case where further extension for the period of investigation as demanded should be granted.
