Karachi, The National Investigative Agency (NIA) of India has conducted a series of raids across Maharashtra and Karnataka, resulting in the arrest of 15 individuals. These operations were part of India’s ongoing efforts against Daesh, a globally recognized terrorist organization.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the NIA spokesperson reported that the raids took place in approximately 44 locations, including areas in Maharashtra’s Padgha-Borivali, Thane, Meera Road, Pune, and Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru. The arrests were made on Saturday, targeting individuals allegedly involved in activities related to terrorism and promoting the agenda of the banned organization Daesh.
Among those arrested is purportedly a leader within ISIS who was involved in administering oaths of allegiance to new recruits. This operation is part of India’s broader strategy to counteract terrorism and suppress the activities of groups affiliated with internationally recognized terrorist organizations like Daesh.
