Islamabad, May 30, 2022 (PPI-OT):The newly-appointed Secretary Ministry for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Syed Zafar Ali Shah on Saturday directed concerned officers to conduct studies in order to restructure and reorganize the Ministry. The direction was given on Saturday during a meeting which was chaired by the Secretary Planning. The meeting was attended by all Chiefs, Heads of Economic and Technical section for briefing on functions of various sections, workload, and optimum use of human resource in the Ministry.

During the meeting, the Secretary urged the officers to play their constructive role while sharing innovative ideas which could help in facilitating the development process of the country. Syed Zafar Ali Shah, assured the officers of his full support in all matters including promotions, filling the vacant posts, training etc. The prime objective is to achieve the vision and mission of the Ministry of Planning Commission which is to accelerate and facilitate the development of all sectors of the economy within the given resource and limitations, he added.

He also appreciated the work of officers in their respective fields and assured them to hold follow up meetings to get the desired results. Follow up meetings are essential to make the task successful, he concluded. Mr Syed Zafar Ali Shah (BS-22) is a topper of 20th CTP and has recently joined the Ministry of Planning. Earlier, he served in the Ministry of Industries as Additional Secretary and also served in KP in various position and abroad as well.
