Muzaffarabad: The Azad Kashmir government has bolstered its police resources by distributing new vehicles to various police stations throughout the region. In a recent ceremony, Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq, presented the keys of these vehicles to Deputy Inspector General of Police Reserve, Dr. Liaqat, in the presence of several government and police officials.
According to President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the government has allocated 19 new 4×4 single-cabin vehicles to enhance the operational efficiency of police stations. Each district received two vehicles, with Haveli Kahuta receiving one. The allocation was determined based on the specific needs of each station. These vehicles are designated solely for police station use and will not be assigned for squad or protocol duties.
Senior government officials, including Senior Minister and Interior Minister Col. (Retd) Waqar Ahmad Noor, Deputy Speaker Chaudhry Riaz Ahmad, Information Minister Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah, and other relevant ministers and officials, attended the event. During the ceremony, Inspector General of Police Rana Abdul Jabbar briefed the Prime Minister, who subsequently inspected the new fleet of vehicles. The initiative is anticipated to significantly improve police response capabilities across the region.
