New Song “Freedom’s Call” Marks Kashmir’s Black Day Anniversary


Srinagar: A new song titled “Freedom’s Call,” commemorating the struggle for independence in Kashmir, was released today, coinciding with the fifth anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 by the Indian government.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the song, penned by Kashmiri writer and poet Professor Muhammad Saghir Qamar and set to music by renowned Pakistani musician Khalid Sadiqi, has quickly gained traction with a global audience. Its poignant lyrics and evocative melody echo the enduring spirit and aspirations of the Kashmiri people, who continue their decades-long fight for self-determination.



Released on a day observed as Black Day in Kashmir, “Freedom’s Call” underscores the ongoing sacrifices of the Kashmiri people and their resolute pursuit of freedom. The song’s widespread dissemination across social media platforms has not only solidified support for Kashmir’s cause but has also reignited discussions on the need for an international resolution to this longstanding conflict.
