New Leadership Takes Helm at Pakistan’s Parliamentary Reporters Association

Islamabad: The Parliamentary Reporters Association of Pakistan (PRA) has announced its new leadership following the successful conclusion of the PRA Elections 2025-27. The election, held in a peaceful and democratic atmosphere, marks a significant moment for the organization dedicated to supporting parliamentary reporters and upholding the values of parliament.

The newly elected body includes President M.B. Soomro, Secretary Naveed Akbar, Vice President Usman Kakar, Joint Secretary Aurangzeb Kakar, Finance Secretary Shakir Abbasi, Information Secretary Javed Hussain, and Governing Body Members Asiya Ansar, Javed Noor, Ahmad Nawaz Khan, Rozina Ali, Ghulam Rasool Kumbhar, Umar Hayat Khan, and Hafiz Abdul Majid.

The election was commended for its smooth execution, with gratitude expressed to parliamentary reporters, senior colleagues, and the Election Committee for their roles in ensuring a historic and successful event.

The new leadership is expected to uphold journalistic values with integrity and continue to preserve the sanctity and dignity of parliament, as they take on their roles within the PRA.
