New Gas Reserves Discovered in Sindh, Industry Leader Expresses Optimism

Karachi, Malik Khuda Bakhsh, a prominent figure in the petroleum and CNG industry, has expressed enthusiasm over the recent discovery of new gas reserves in the Sindh province.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, Khuda Bakhsh, who is also a member of the UBG Core Committee and a director of Lions Club International, described the find as a positive development for Sindh. The discovery is expected to yield 6.57 million cubic feet of gas per day. This marks the third discovery of gas reserves in the Dharki area of Sindh, a timely boost considering the concerns of domestic consumers and the challenges faced by industries and CNG stations due to dwindling gas reserves.

The new gas reservoir, uncovered after drilling up to 1,014 meters at the location known as Gazij Formation Two, is reported to have a gas pressure of 306 pounds per square inch. The find is seen as a significant addition to the region’s energy resources, with potential benefits for investors and the economy.
