New Drug Rehabilitation Center Opens in Pisni, Marking Major Social Welfare Milestone

Gwadar: A modern drug rehabilitation center has been inaugurated in Pisni, reflecting a significant advance in social welfare efforts within the region. Spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner Hamudur Rahman and supported by the Government of Balochistan, the facility is designed to reintegrate drug addicts into society by providing comprehensive rehabilitation services.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the Pisni Drug Rehabilitation Center offers a blend of medical treatment, psychological counseling, and skill development under the guidance of trained professionals. The center aims to equip patients with the necessary tools to start anew, emphasizing a holistic approach to recovery.

The inauguration ceremony was a significant community event, attended by Assistant Commissioner Pasni Mahim Khan Gachki, who hailed the center as a “new dawn” for the region. He underscored the center’s potential to bring hope to individuals affected by drug addiction. Other dignitaries, including Deputy Director Social Welfare Qadeer Luqman, Chairman Pasni Municipal Committee Mir Noor Ahmed Kalmati, and Tehsildar Pasni Akbar Ali, also participated in the ceremony.

Speeches by local officials and community leaders, including the SHO of Pasni, emphasized the collaborative effort required to combat drug challenges in the area. The police department pledged ongoing support in the fight against drugs, urging public cooperation.

The ceremony highlighted broad community backing for the center, with speakers like Tasadeq Aslam, in-charge of the facility, and Dr. Ayub Baloch, a psychiatrist and narcotics specialist, detailing the center’s comprehensive services and its importance for the broader Pisni area. This new facility is seen as a crucial step in addressing drug addiction and fostering social welfare in the region.
