Nepali domestic worker killed in India

New Delhi, June 18, 2021 (PPI-OT):A Nepali domestic worker was killed in the Indian state of Himachal Pardesh. The deceased employee, identified as Bheem, was ruthlessly beat up and thrashed by house owner, Shyam Singh Lath in his house located in Shimla. He was not admitted to the hospital, causing his condition to deteriorate, resulting in his death.

An eyewitness, Prem Singh, told police that he saw Shyam Singh Lath beating the worker, near Shimla washing centre behind Devi Maud, on Theog Matiyana road, with an iron rod a few days back and later came to know that the worker had died.

On the other hand, two women were killed as rolling stones and debris fell on them near Satkaldi Nallah on Nerva-Bajathal road in Shimla district. Meanwhile, machines worth lakhs of rupees were gutted after a fire broke out at the plant of Milk Federation located at Totu in the suburbs of Shimla town. No casualty was reported.
