Islamabad, The National Disaster Management Authority’s National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) has signed a Letter of Understanding (LoU) with MILKAR.com, a tech-based platform designed to connect volunteers with organizations for community development and disaster response efforts.
According to National Disaster Management Authority, MILKAR.com will assist NDMA in mobilizing registered volunteers for disaster risk reduction (DRR) and disaster response activities. The collaboration will enable NIDM to broadcast NEOC advisories, early warnings, best practices, anticipatory actions, and public service messages to a wide network of volunteers and numerous organizations. The agreement also includes a commitment to explore further technological support for the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) and other NDMA initiatives.
