NDMA Launches Disability-Inclusive e-Learning Toolkit for Disaster Risk Reduction

Islamabad, The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and the Special Talent Exchange Program (STEP), has launched an e-learning toolkit designed to support disaster risk reduction for disabled vulnerable communities. The toolkit was introduced at a ceremony held at NDMA’s National Emergency Operations Centre.

According to National Disaster Management Authority, the toolkit aims to empower disaster management professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively address the needs of persons with disabilities during all disaster phases. The launch event was attended by notable figures including NDMA Chairman Lt General Inam Haider Malik and representatives from STEP and UNESCAP, who highlighted the toolkit’s alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
