Islamabad, February 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):National Disaster Management Authority has issued instructions to respective Provincial and District Disaster Management Authorities and other relevant departments to stay vigilant as westerly wave is likely to enter Western Parts of the Country tonight likely to persist in Upper parts of the country till Thursday.

In a statement on Monday, the Spokesperson said that these instructions have been issued as per fresh weather advisory issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department. According to PMD, rain-wind and thunderstorm with snow over hills and isolated hailstorm in various parts of the country are expected during these days.

The authority also directed to promptly ensure precautionary measures to avoid any loss of life or property during the said period. The PDMAs and DDMAs have been directed further to coordinate with concerned departments for restoration of roads in case of any blockage, obstruction, and to ensure tourists and visitors in at-risk or affected areas to be apprised about weather forecast.
