NCRC and Commerce Minister Collaborate to Promote Child Rights and Enhance Pakistan’s International Image


Islamabad, In a significant move towards advancing the child rights agenda and bolstering Pakistan’s standing on the global stage, Ayesha Raza Farooq, Chairperson of the National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC), held a meeting with Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan. The session centered around the NCRC’s ongoing initiatives to implement international conventions on child and human rights, with Farooq presenting comprehensive reports on Pakistan’s progress in aligning its policies with global standards.



According to Press Information Department, Minister Khan lauded the efforts of the NCRC, highlighting the critical role such achievements play in strengthening Pakistan’s position internationally, especially in relation to the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP-Plus) program. This collaboration reflects Pakistan’s earnest commitment to upholding children’s rights and fulfilling its international obligations, demonstrating the government’s proactive engagement in human rights issues.



The meeting between the NCRC and the Commerce Minister signifies a concerted effort to ensure that Pakistan’s advancements in child rights and human rights are recognized globally, contributing positively to the nation’s image and its economic interests under the GSP-Plus framework.
