NC, PDP to contest assembly elections jointly

Jammu, March 27, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the leadership of both the National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has initiated an exercise to fight the assembly polls jointly. High commands of both parties have directed district level leadership to start constituting coordination committees of the two parties to avoid any confrontation during the assembly elections.

Reports said that during her just-concluded week-long visit in Jammu, the PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti has dropped hints that both the parties have decided to contest elections jointly to counter BJP’s plan to install its first-ever chief minister in Kashmir.

During her tour in Jammu, Mehbooba Mufti avoided any attack on the arch-rival National Conference or Congress and she only focused on the BJP during her public meetings. Reports said that during the recent meeting of the Gupkar Alliance, all constituents have suggested that the experience of DDCs elections should also be repeated in the assembly polls.
