NC MP Mian Altaf Criticizes Indian Budget for Excluding IIOJK

Srinagar: Mian Altaf Ahmad, a member of the National Conference, has criticized the Indian government for neglecting Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in its recent budget allocation.

According to Kashmir Media Service, while speaking during the Indian parliament’s budget session, Mian Altaf highlighted the lack of provisions for IIOJK in the new budget. He expressed disappointment and pointed out that the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman did not engage with IIOJK’s stakeholders, including traders and parliament members, before finalizing the budget.

Mian Altaf emphasized the need for greater involvement and consultation with IIOJK representatives to ensure that the budget addresses the specific needs of the region.
