Karachi, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, conducted a comprehensive visit to Creeks and Coastal Areas and Pakistan Navy (PN) Ships to assess the operational preparedness and combat readiness of the units. The visit encompassed interactions with officers and troops at various strategic locations, including Creeks Brigade Sujawal, PNS AKRAM at Gwadar, and the Jinnah Naval Base.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, the Naval Chief was briefed on the prevailing threat environment and defenses of the Creeks Area during his arrival at Creeks Brigade Sujawal. Admiral Ashraf then visited forward posts where he interacted with officers and men, commending their readiness to respond to any potential threats from adversaries.
The second leg of his visit took Admiral Ashraf to PNS AKRAM at Gwadar, where he engaged with troops deployed for the security of Gwadar Port. He also toured the Jinnah Naval Base, Pakistan Navy Hospital Dar Maanjah, and Cadet College at Ormara. The final phase of his visit involved a review of the operational preparedness and combat readiness of PN surface ships at the PN Dockyard in Karachi.
Throughout his interactions with troops in the Creeks and Coastal Areas and onboard ships, Admiral Ashraf expressed satisfaction with the operational readiness of the deployed elements. He highlighted the professionalism and dedication of the officers and men in maintaining a robust defense posture under the challenging and harsh conditions of the Creeks and Coastal Areas, particularly in the context of the current regional challenges in the maritime domain.
Admiral Ashraf commended the high morale of the troops and directed the field units to optimally utilize the latest weapons and equipment. His directives emphasized the need for motivation and alacrity in ensuring the defense of the motherland.
