Islamabad: A consensus on combating terrorism and infrastructural development highlighted the recent high-profile meetings in Islamabad, where key political and governmental figures discussed national challenges and development strategies.
According to Press Information Department, Abdul Aleem Khan, Federal Minister for Privatization, Board of Investment, and Communications, and Aimal Wali Khan, President of the Awami National Party (ANP), expressed a unified stance against terrorism and emphasized the necessity of implementing the National Action Plan fully. During their discussions, they called for rigorous action against those facilitating terrorist activities.
The dialogue also touched upon political harmony, which Abdul Aleem Khan identified as essential for the country’s long-term policy stability. The Minister congratulated Aimal Wali Khan on ANP’s recent electoral success in Bajaur and outlined the importance of inter-party cooperation for national development.
Further, Abdul Aleem Khan highlighted the strategic significance of the Mansehra to Babu Sir Top motorway project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, predicting it would dramatically enhance regional connectivity and economic prospects. He underscored measures to protect this infrastructure, including restricting overloaded trucks and trawlers on motorways to prevent damage and accidents.
The discussions also involved Sardar Muhammad Yusuf, a Member of the National Assembly from Mansehra, who briefed the Federal Minister on local political dynamics and infrastructural needs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in Mansehra. Abdul Aleem Khan committed to visiting Mansehra to address these issues firsthand, ensuring local concerns are met with direct governmental action.
