Nationwide Celebrations Mark Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day


Islamabad: Pakistan celebrated its 77th Independence Day with fervor and patriotic zeal across the country. The day was marked by a series of flag hoisting ceremonies, cultural displays, and tributes to the nation’s founders and martyrs. From the federal capital to provincial capitals, various events underscored the unity and commitment of the Pakistani people towards their homeland’s prosperity and development.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the celebrations began with traditional gun salutes in Islamabad and at provincial headquarters, followed by special prayers in mosques for the nation’s peace and prosperity. The streets and government buildings across Pakistan were adorned with lights, flags, and portraits of national heroes, creating a festive atmosphere. In Lahore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized inclusivity and unity in her address at Hazuri Bagh. Similar sentiments were echoed by leaders in Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta, where key ceremonies included flag hoistings and change of guard events at significant national monuments.
