National Productivity, Quality, and Innovation Summit 2024 Set to Begin in Islamabad


Islamabad: The Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives is organizing the National Productivity, Quality, and Innovation (PQI) Summit 2024 in Islamabad on November 21-22, 2024. The summit seeks to highlight the role of productivity, quality, and innovation in boosting Pakistan’s economic growth and competitiveness. The event will be inaugurated by Ahsan Iqbal, the Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives.



According to Press Information Department, the summit will convene scholars from academia and industry, CEOs, leaders from chambers of commerce, and corporate leaders nationwide. Participants will engage in discussions and collaborative efforts to improve productivity, elevate quality standards, and foster innovation across various economic sectors. Breakout sessions on Productivity, Quality, and Innovation will feature contributions from research scholars, think tanks, academia, and industry representatives. These sessions will address strategies for sustainable growth, meeting international quality benchmarks, and building a competitive economy.



The summit is part of the Ministry’s development framework, aiming to increase exports, ensure economic stability, and maintain Pakistan’s trajectory towards becoming a trillion-dollar economy by 2035 and a three trillion-dollar economy by 2047. The framework focuses on the 5Es: Exports, Energy, E-Pakistan, Environment, Climate Change and Food Security, and Equity, emphasizing equal opportunities for youth, women, minorities, and the development of less developed areas. The event invites stakeholders to participate in shaping actionable strategies to address economic challenges and unlock Pakistan’s potential.
