ISLAMABAD, A delegation from the National Institute of Management (NIM) Peshawar visited the Safe City Islamabad as part of an educational tour. The visit included briefings on the advanced technological capabilities of the Safe City project and its significant role in enhancing the city’s security.
According to Islamabad Capital Police public relations officer reported that the delegation, following ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan’s directions, was welcomed by the SSP Safe City. They were shown the command and control center, data hub unit, and police operations center, highlighting the project’s contributions to various departments, including emergency control and e-challan systems.
The delegates learned about the effectiveness of Safe City cameras in crime prevention and city security, with 42% of crimes being resolved through the command center. Additionally, face recognition cameras at city entry and exit points help identify suspicious elements. The visit concluded with a meeting with CPO Safe City/Traffic, where the delegation expressed gratitude and acknowledged the modern technical system of the Islamabad Capital Police.
