National Highway Authority of Pakistan Addresses Public Queries and Ensures Timely Project Completion

Karachi, Chairman of the National Highway Authority (NHA), Mr. Arshad Majeed Mohmand, has emphasized the Authority’s commitment to completing ongoing motorways and national highways projects within the scheduled timeframe, ensuring quality construction.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during an e-Katcheri session held at the NHA Headquarters, Mr. Mohmand addressed queries, opinions, and complaints from people across the country via Facebook. The initiative, which allowed public access to NHA authorities through social media, was commended by most participants for its transparency and responsiveness.

The session was also attended by NHA members, with Member PPP Naveed Iqbal Wahla and Member EC Naseem Khattak assisting the Chairman in responding to the public. During the e-Katcheri, Mr. Mohmand issued immediate orders for the maintenance of certain roads based on public complaints and provided insights into the reasons behind delays in some projects.

Chairman NHA reiterated the Authority’s priority to maintain an open and functional road network, emphasizing its crucial role in public movement, trade activity, transportation of agricultural products, and economic stability. He assured the complainants that NHA officers would contact them directly to update them on the actual status of the projects, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing their concerns.

This session marks a significant step by the NHA in engaging with the public and addressing their concerns transparently, reaffirming its commitment to timely and quality infrastructure development in Pakistan.
