Islamabad: The National Coordination Committee for SME development convened its 11th meeting on Tuesday, chaired by Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain. The meeting focused on an 11-point agenda aimed at boosting investment and fostering entrepreneurship, with a significant emphasis on streamlining the registration process and enhancing support for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
According to Press Information Department, the committee discussed measures to reduce operational costs, increase investment incentives, and provide easier access to credit for SMEs. Additionally, plans were made to allocate land in industrial estates specifically for SME growth and expansion. A dedicated fund of 5 billion was established to support financial initiatives targeting women entrepreneurs and to stimulate overall SME development.
