Jammu: Rattan Lal Gupta, the president of the National Conference in Jammu, has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of betraying the residents of occupied Jammu and Kashmir by outsourcing jobs and awarding mining and other resource-based contracts to non-local entities.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Gupta stated that the BJP’s approach has exacerbated feelings of alienation and frustration among the local population, as they watch opportunities that should be theirs go to outsiders. He condemned the BJP for not having a definitive plan for the development of the region.
Gupta further highlighted the severe unemployment issues, the impending shutdown of local industries, and the economic downturn, all of which he attributed to the BJP’s lack of clear policies. He also brought attention to various recruitment scandals that have emerged under the BJP-supported administration in the territory.
