Jammu, The National Conference (NC) has voiced strong criticism of the Narendra Modi-led Indian government’s policies in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, attributing widespread public discontent and suffering to these measures.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during a party convention in Jammu, senior NC figures such as Ajay Sadhotra and Rattan Lal Gupta laid out their grievances regarding the central government’s approach. They characterized the policies as anti-people, anti-poor, and anti-youth, claiming that they have severely impacted the daily lives and well-being of the local population.
The leaders argued that the BJP’s local administration has failed to address the territory’s issues, focusing instead on empty rhetoric without delivering substantive changes or improvements. This disconnect, they noted, has led to widespread disenchantment among the electorate, who feel let down by the government’s unfulfilled promises and ineffective governance.
The NC also predicted a strong electoral response against the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, signaling a robust challenge to the current regime’s continued influence in the region.
