National Bank of Pakistan Promotes Women Entrepreneurship in Turbat with Loan Awareness Program

Turbat: The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has taken a significant step towards empowering women entrepreneurs in Turbat by organizing an awareness program focused on facilitating access to loans on easy installments. The event, titled “Empowered Women Autonomous Pakistan Women Financing Scheme,” aimed to inform both new and existing women business owners about the financial assistance available through the bank, and it coincided with the celebration of Women Entrepreneurship Day in the region.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the program highlighted various loan options under the Prime Minister’s Youth Business and Agriculture Scheme. Women entrepreneurs were informed that loans ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 15 lakh could be approved based on personal guarantees, while larger amounts from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 75 lakh would require the bail of two witnesses. Additionally, the NBP has launched a five-year project offering Rs 25 to 50 lakh on three-monthly installments through the NBP Women Financing Credit Guarantee Scheme, from which numerous women have already benefited.

Tariq Baloch, the Area Credit Officer of NBP Gwadar Region, emphasized that this initiative is part of the State Bank of Pakistan’s broader effort to enhance women’s access to financial services. He noted that the State Bank aims to maximize the reach of such programs to benefit as many women as possible, particularly those with at least one year of business experience. The event was attended by various officials of the National Bank, alongside both women and men from the community.
