National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Highlights Meritocracy as Key to Boosting Productivity


Islamabad: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq recently addressed the newly promoted employees of the National Assembly Secretariat, emphasizing the importance of meritocracy in enhancing organizational productivity and the strict observance of rules in their promotion process. He extended his congratulations to the employees and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to equality and adherence to regulations.



According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Sadiq highlighted the role of hard work and honesty in achieving respect within the organization. He advised the employees to perform their duties with diligence and dedication, stressing that such efforts are rewarded by divine favor. Sadiq also pointed out the importance of technology integration, noting that the complete digitization of official work could significantly increase the productivity of the National Assembly. He underscored the successful implementation of austerity measures which are projected to save more than one billion rupees this year. Additionally, he mentioned the elimination of non-essential posts and a halt in new recruitments as part of the broader strategy to strengthen the institution.



Sadiq also articulated his vision of a strong Parliament being vital for national development and prosperity. In a solemn note, the gathering concluded with a prayer session led by Sadiq for the deceased son-in-law of former Speaker Fahmida Mirza, where prayers were offered for the departed soul and the bereaved family.
