Karachi, On the eve of the 147th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founding father of Pakistan, Speaker of the National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf emphasized the importance of following Quaid’s principles of unity, faith, and discipline to transform Pakistan into a progressive, prosperous, and welfare state. In his message, Ashraf highlighted the peaceful and democratic struggle led by Quaid-e-Azam, which culminated in the creation of Pakistan.
According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Ashraf remarked that the nation owes its existence to the relentless democratic struggle of Quaid-e-Azam. He stressed the need to emulate these principles of peaceful struggle for Pakistan’s prosperity and growth, especially as the nation prepares for the upcoming elections. He expressed hope that the election would mark a turning point in the nation’s democratic journey.
The Speaker also reflected on Quaid-e-Azam’s vision of a pluralistic society and his emphasis on the role of women and youth in the socio-economic fabric of the nation. He noted that with a significant portion of Pakistan’s population being youth, upskilling them is crucial for the country’s economic stability.
