Islamabad: The Standing Committee on Defence in the National Assembly today expressed unequivocal support for the Armed Forces in their role of safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. This affirmation came during an in-camera session held at the Parliament House under the chairmanship of Mr. Fateh Ullah Khan.
According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the Secretary of the Ministry of Defence provided a detailed briefing on the organizational framework and operational responsibilities of the ministry, emphasizing its pivotal role as a liaison between the government and the Armed Forces concerning defense matters. The committee lauded the Ministry for its comprehensive presentation and pledged unanimous support for the Armed Forces’ efforts to fortify the nation’s defense capabilities.
Furthermore, the committee paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country and resolved to visit Yadgar-e-Shuhada to honor their memory. The meeting saw participation from multiple National Assembly members and senior defense officials, reflecting a collective commitment to national defense and support for the armed services.
