National Assembly Debates President’s Parliamentary Address


Islamabad, Discussions continued in the National Assembly today regarding President Asif Ali Zardari’s recent address to the joint sitting of Parliament. The debate included contributions from various political leaders who discussed the nation’s pressing issues and the ways forward.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari responded to the President’s call for political dialogue to resolve national problems and emphasized the importance of joint efforts to address public concerns and navigate the country out of economic crises. He also praised President Zardari’s response to the demands of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. JUI-F leader Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri advocated for substantial support for Balochistan’s farmers, including subsidized electricity rates.



The session, chaired by Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, began with a tribute to Major Babar Khan, a martyr in recent clashes in Zhob. The assembly is scheduled to reconvene tomorrow morning.
