Islamabad: Eid-ul-Azha, the festival commemorating the sacrifices of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismael (AS), will be celebrated across the nation on Monday. This significant religious event is marked by special prayers, widespread animal sacrifices, and messages of devotion and generosity towards the community.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the day will begin with special prayers in mosques throughout the country, praying for the well-being of the Ummah and for the progress, prosperity, and security of the nation. Large congregations for Eid prayers are scheduled to take place at mosques, Eidgahs, and various open locations across cities, towns, and villages. Ulema will deliver sermons that underscore the profound significance of the sacrifices made by Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismael (AS), inspiring attendees to reflect on the virtues of faith and submission to divine will.

In adherence to the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), the faithful will engage in the ritual sacrifice of animals. Local civic authorities have prepared extensively for the occasion, implementing special arrangements for the sanitary disposal of offals and other solid waste during the three days of celebrations.
