Naseerabad: A recent meeting of the district task force addressed the ongoing polio eradication efforts, underlining both the successes achieved and the challenges faced in Naseerabad. The session, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar, saw the participation of key district officials and representatives from the World Health Organization.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting included Additional Deputy Commissioner Naseerabad, District Health Officer Dr. Muhammad Hasan Domki, and other significant personnel such as the Assistant Commissioners of Dera Murad Jamali and Chhatar, along with MS Dr. Shaukat Ali Khosa. Deputy District Health Officer and District Support Manager Naseerabad Faisal Khan Khosa were also present, alongside PA Deputy Commissioner Naseerabad Manzoor Ahmad Shirazi.
In the detailed discussions, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the ongoing struggle against polio, a debilitating disease that continues to threaten the health of children in the region. Despite notable progress, the complete eradication of polio has not yet been achieved. He emphasized the need to identify and address the underlying issues that hinder the success of the polio campaigns, suggesting a more robust approach to overcome these challenges.
The meeting also stressed the importance of community involvement in the polio eradication initiatives. It called for increased participation from all sectors of society, particularly urging parents to ensure their children receive the necessary vaccinations to prevent the disease. The officials at the meeting urged the public to support the polio eradication efforts wholeheartedly, highlighting it as an act of patriotism that contributes to the nation’s health and future well-being.
