Naseerabad, Executive Engineer Irrigation Drainage, Mudassar Zafar Khosa, has announced the successful repair of significant cracks in the local irrigation drainage system, averting potential flood damage in the area. This preventive action follows direct orders from Provincial Irrigation Minister Mir Mohammad Sadiq Imrani and Provincial Irrigation Secretary Hafiz Abdul Majid to enhance readiness for any flood-related emergencies.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Khosa expressed relief that the timely intervention using appropriate machinery and diligent staff prevented what could have been severe damage to public property and risks to local residents. The repairs were conducted in the Ganda Khan Asta Mohammad area, where the potential for damage was particularly high.

The ongoing efforts by the irrigation department include additional measures to bolster the region’s defenses against possible future floods. Khosa emphasized that the department is prepared to deploy more machinery and resources as needed to ensure the safety of the community from the threats posed by natural disasters.

The initiative reflects a broader commitment by the provincial government to protect its citizens and infrastructure from the increasing frequency and intensity of flood situations, underscoring the importance of maintaining and monitoring critical infrastructure.
