Naseerabad Prepares for Monsoon Season with Enhanced Flood Mitigation Measures

Naseerabad: As the monsoon season approaches, bringing expected rains and potential flooding, Naseerabad division’s Deputy Commissioners have initiated comprehensive flood prevention and preparedness measures across all districts to safeguard communities.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, extensive efforts are underway to reinforce the drainage systems and canal embankments with heavy machinery. The district administrations are actively engaging with the media to ensure the dissemination of accurate and responsible information regarding the weather conditions and safety measures.

In anticipation of flooding, designated areas have been prepared for the establishment of tent cities to accommodate residents from vulnerable areas. Health department teams have been placed on high alert in all tehsil hospitals and Basic Health Units (BHUs), with an emergency protocol in effect in Rural Health Centres (RHCs). Additionally, the vacations of doctors and para-medical staff have been canceled to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services during the crisis.

Moinur Rahman Khan, a spokesperson for the effort, highlighted the collaborative work between government offices and NGOs to optimize response efforts and ensure the safety and well-being of the population amidst natural calamities.
