Naseerabad: In a crucial meeting led by Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar, Naseerabad officials gathered to intensify efforts against polio, following recent cases in Jacobabad. The meeting, which included key health and government officials, emphasized the need for rigorous measures to protect children from polio, particularly in remote and colder regions.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Deputy Commissioner Kakar highlighted the urgency of enhancing the polio vaccination campaign and ensuring diligent monitoring of people moving from colder areas to safeguard all children. The session also stressed accountability, with specific responsibilities assigned to both health and revenue department officials to ensure no lapses in duty during the campaign.
Kakar also announced motivational incentives for polio workers demonstrating exemplary performance, stating that two female and two male workers would receive certificates and cash rewards. He reiterated that strict actions would be taken against any negligence in the campaign, underscoring the government’s commitment to eradicating polio as a priority public health jihad.
