Naseerabad Official Calls for Peace and Unity During Muharram


Naseerabad: In preparation for the upcoming Muharram observances, Deputy Commissioner Batul Asadi emphasized the importance of peace, truth, and brotherhood, aligning with the philosophical teachings of Hussain. A meeting via video link was held to discuss these principles and the community’s responsibilities during this sacred month.



According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Deputy Commissioner Asadi addressed the need for inter-faith harmony and caution against actions that could incite or offend people of any religion. The meeting was attended by a cross-section of society, including government officials, scholars, traders, civil society representatives, and intelligence agencies, highlighting the community-wide commitment to a peaceful Muharram.



During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Asadi also addressed local challenges, such as electricity load shedding and the need for ice during Muharram, stressing the administration’s efforts to ensure essential services are uninterrupted. He declared that measures would be taken to prevent music in hotels and the promotion of movies on cable channels during Muharram, respecting the solemnity of the month.



Moreover, a ban on the transportation of ice to other districts was announced to ensure adequate supplies for local religious observances. Ice factory owners were instructed to meet the demand without shortages, with the warning that non-compliance would result in strict legal consequences.



These initiatives are part of broader efforts to secure a respectful and unified observance of Muharram across Naseerabad, reflecting a deep respect for the month’s significance and a commitment to maintaining public order and religious respect.
