Naseerabad, On his visit to the rest house of the Irrigation Department in Dera Murad Jamali, Provincial Irrigation Minister Mir Muhammad Sadiq Imrani expressed his displeasure over the unaccounted demolition of the historic building and ordered an immediate investigation into the matter. This rest house, once a lodging for three former prime ministers and other dignitaries, now lies in ruins.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Minister Imrani was distressed to find that not only the structure but also its historical furnishings and ancient trees had been destroyed or removed. He mandated Chief Engineer Canals Nasir Majeed and other officials to ensure that the land within the rest house’s boundaries is rehabilitated and beautified with a variety of plants and flowers, asserting that the property’s heritage must be preserved and those responsible for its degradation held accountable.
