Naseerabad Ensures Clean Drinking Water Supply Post-Rains, Executive Engineer Reviews Operations

Naseerabad: Following recent rainfall, the city of Naseerabad, including areas such as Dera Murad Jamali, Chhatar Phleji, and Tambo, have secured the provision of clean drinking water for its residents. Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering Naseerabad, Hafeezur Rehman Hashmi, conducted inspections across various water supply schemes and filtration plants to ensure the quality and efficiency of the water distribution systems.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, during his visits, Hashmi emphasized the importance of addressing public complaints swiftly and maintaining strict oversight of the water supply operations. Sub Engineer Muhammad Ayub Bhutto updated Hashmi on the status and functionality of the water supply schemes and filtration plants. The review covered multiple schemes, including the city-town water supply, the Industries Water Supply Scheme Eastern Phase One, and Phase Two Western Water Supply Schemes.

Hashmi directed his team to ensure the provision of clean water and declared a zero-tolerance policy towards negligence and absenteeism among the filtration plant operators. He underscored that providing clean drinking water is a top priority and a fundamental responsibility of the department. Hashmi also assessed the damage caused by the rains to the water infrastructure in places like Tehsil Chhatar Faleji and ordered measures to keep all water supply schemes operational.

The executive engineer’s tour also included addressing the needs for increased public awareness and taking immediate steps to rectify any issues detected, thereby ensuring an uninterrupted water supply to the communities. Hashmi’s stern approach towards ensuring efficiency and accountability highlights the department’s commitment to public health and safety.
