Naseerabad: Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Kakar expressed strong disapproval during his recent inspection of Civil Hospital Dera Murad Jamali due to the absence of several doctors. He mandated immediate corrective actions, underscoring the importance of staff presence to ensure quality healthcare delivery.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Government of Balochistan, during his visit, Deputy Commissioner Kakar thoroughly reviewed the hospital’s operations, including the OPD, OT, MCH Center, Gynecology Ward, and other critical units. The Medical Superintendent, Dr. Shaukat Ali Khosa, briefed him on challenges such as electricity supply that the facility faces. Deputy Commissioner Kakar directed the hospital administration to enhance medical services, particularly for patients traveling from distant areas, to ensure they leave the hospital satisfied with the care received.
The visit also included a review of the new filtration plant, which is an essential upgrade for the hospital, providing 100,000 liters of purified water daily while the hospital requires 24,000 liters. Deputy Commissioner Kakar commended the hospital’s cleanliness and ongoing improvements and encouraged further enhancements to reduce patient complaints and elevate service standards. He also lauded the efforts of Medecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and urged continued excellence in service delivery. Strict measures were promised against any staff consistently failing to meet their duties.
