Naseerabad: In a concerted effort to address delayed development projects within the region, Commissioner Naseerabad Division Moin-ur-Rehman Khan underscored the urgency of completing public interest projects as per established standards and financial plans during a review meeting. The gathering brought together executive engineers and department heads to assess progress and enforce project timelines more strictly.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting saw detailed presentations from various departments including Irrigation, Public Health Engineering, Local Government, Urban Planning, and Development. They discussed ongoing issues particularly related to the canal systems and other developmental challenges. Commissioner Khan stressed the importance of adhering to financial protocols and physical ratios in project execution to prevent future complications arising from advance payments.
Furthermore, Khan highlighted the need for departmental vigilance against contractor lethargy, insisting on immediate cessation of payments to non-compliant contractors to ensure project deadlines are met, particularly during the canal closure period which is crucial for timely completion of schemes.
