Naseerabad, Deputy Commissioner Naseerabad Batul Asadi’s recent initiatives to regulate ice distribution amid a severe heatwave have started to yield positive results, alleviating the artificial ice scarcity and reducing prices for the local populace.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the measures included the establishment of designated ice distribution points and a strict ban on the export of ice from the district, which were enforced following widespread complaints about shortages and high prices. Tehsildar Dera Murad Jamali Gul Nawaz was tasked with ensuring that ice stalls operated from morning till late at night to meet the high demand.
These actions have been widely appreciated by the community as they effectively address the urgent need for accessible cooling resources during extreme temperatures. The district administration remains vigilant in its oversight, with ongoing inspections and enforcement to prevent market manipulations by ice factory owners and ensure compliance with the new regulations.
