ISLAMABAD, The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has annulled over 18,000 illegal identity cards as part of its ongoing efforts to bolster national security. This measure is aimed at combating the issue of counterfeit identity documents.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the cancellation is part of a robust system established by NADRA in coordination with other stakeholders. Enhanced measures include biometric verification of relatives, SMS alerts to family heads, and stringent two-stage data access verification.
